Much-loved Mediterranean Icon, the Marbella Club, Introduces Bespoke Retreat Offering for Private Groups
With a commitment to preventative health and long-term healing, the Marbella Club’s bespoke group retreats are designed to equip guests with the knowledge and tools required to continue their wellness journeys long beyond the retreat itself. Expertly crafted by a talented in-house team of naturopaths, nutritionists, therapists and fitness leaders, these transformative group retreats are designed to tackle a range of health issues including exhaustion, stress and burnout; gut and liver health; nutrition for inner and outer beauty; fitness and weight loss; and ageing gently. Private group retreats can last between two and seven nights, however those looking to remain on their wellness journey can continue to work with the Marbella Club’s expert team for as long as they like - even via virtual consultations after they’ve returned home.
Each retreat will begin with a visit to the Marbella Club’s Holistic Studio, where each member of the group will receive a personalised lifestyle and nutrition consultation with one of the resident naturopath nutritionists, followed by bio-energetic testing on the Qest machine to help determine need areas. Daily talks and wellness workshops on the preferred topic await, accompanied by a range of holistic healing therapies, such as Tibetan bowl singing, meditation, breathwork, aerial yoga, and Pilates. Fitness sessions include personal training, cycling along the seafront promenade and guided hikes through the natural parks and nearby Sierra Blanca mountains. Meanwhile, over at the Thalasso Spa, a range of tailored massages, facials, scrubs and sensory experiences await, each harnessing the benefits of the Mediterranean Sea.
Working in tandem with the resident naturopaths is the hotel’s wellness chef, Andrés Ruiz, who creates tailored retreat menus that are seasonal, nutritious and refined-sugar free, but never restrictive. These menus can be taken at any of the Marbella Club’s restaurants, whether it be Chef Ruiz’s healthy outpost, El Olivar, or newly-opened El Patio, meaning retreat groups do not have to miss out on the lively atmosphere and night-time buzz the hotel has become renowned for over the past 65 years. Chef Ruiz will also lead cooking demonstrations for those wanting to learn how to eat more consciously at home.
For private groups wanting to add an extra level of exclusivity to their retreat, the Marbella Club’s beachfront villa Rincon del Mar is the ultimate sanctuary, sleeping up to ten guests. With laid-back décor and plenty of Andalusian charm, the spacious villa offers immersive wellbeing facilities and direct access to the Holistic Studio next door; five bedrooms which can convert to treatment rooms for in-villa pampering; and an expansive kitchen area ideal for cooking demonstrations and interactive discussions. Those in search of even more space can opt to connect Rincon del Mar with next-door Villa del Mar, which – fresh from a recent renovation – offers an additional six Andalusian-inspired bedrooms, a private swimming pool and plentiful garden, home to blooming bougainvillea, sprinkling fountains and terracotta-tiled patios.
Meanwhile, those seeking a solo journey can opt for one of the Marbella Club’s individual lifestyle programmes. Ranging from two to seven nights, guests can choose from six different programmes, each with a different focus: from Mediterranean pampering, gentle detoxification and body conditioning, to sleep enhancement, stress relief and energy-boosting.
